Battle Abbey is a fantastic and unique castle style wedding venue in East Sussex, situated in the beautiful and historic town of Battle. The memories of your special day will remain with you forever and it is important to ensure that every details is perfect with no compromises! There are few venues that can offer such magic memories, bespoke service and superb photo opportunities as Battle Abbey.
The Abbey offers the distinct benefit of offering a complete wedding day in one location with a truly flexible space in which to stage your ceremony, reception drinks, wedding breakfast and evening event, and with enough space to avoid the need for turning round rooms with guests in occupation. Every wedding we hold is unique, entirely bespoke for you so don’t hold back when discussing your ideas with us! With an elegant, sacred feeling space for ceremonies and drinks served on the top terrace overlooking one of the most famous battlefields in England surrounded by over 1000 years of history, or alternatively on our Six Penny Lawn overlooking the Dormitory Range ruins, Battle Abbey really has the wow factor you’re looking for.
We can cater for small and larger weddings, so please talk to us about your requirements for your perfect day.
All our Canapés, Starters, Mains and Desserts are prepared on site using fresh and, where possible, local ingredients from East Sussex.

- Antique gold Chiavari weddings chairs
- All tables, white linen, cutlery, glasses etc
- Wedding planner to help coordinate your special day
- Access the day before to set-up (subject to availability)
- Photo opportunities around the whole site including the fabulous English Heritage ruins

- Venue Hire
- 2025 – £6,000 (Friday, Saturday & Bank Holidays) or £5,000 (Sunday – Thursday)
- 2026 – £6,500 (Friday, Saturday & Bank Holidays) or £5,500 (Sunday – Thursday)
- 2027 – £7,000 (Friday, Saturday & Bank Holidays) or £6,000 (Sunday – Thursday)
- £54.50 per adult for a 3 course Wedding Breakfast (other options are available i.e. Hog Roast or BBQ)
- £24.50 per child for a 3 course children’s Wedding Breakfast
- £34.50 per adult for the drinks package
- £9.00 per adult for 3 different canape options
- £125.00 for a coffee/tea station after the Wedding Breakfast
- Evening food options are available – starting from £9.50 per person
